As of October, 2020, we’ve had some interesting developments to the implementation of the Allied Health Professionals Act. The updates are as follows:
The AHPA council (Comprised of all the 20 some professions) has convened, and each profession head has been given directives of what needs to be done. Amongst them, electing their own sub committee for each profession.
Next, the current AHPA registration page on the MOH website is going to be hauled down, and revamped. They expect to complete this by the end of the year (2020) where it’ll be used to register all professional members.
Finally, they’re hoping that registration will go into full swing by the year 2021.
