Some of the challenges I face include staying on track to do case conceptualization (4Ps) for each case that is handled - especially because it takes time to think through the case factors and a huge caseload to manage (!)
I think the pressure of filling in all the boxes (at least for me) for the 4Ps may lead to the confusion in what to focus on - especially for the treatment plan.
Yeah it's a challenge to take the time to go through each cases in details...And many times, as the case progresses, it will be a different thing as well. I notice that it's challenging when I have to use a different modality for a different case as well.
Sometimes the cases wants us to think out of the box but we focus too much on 4ps and case conceptualization rather than the actual goal of the case. It has both pros and cons i think we assess the case every session or reflect on the case.
I noticed that many students have difficulty on what to conceptualise on as it could be on the disorder, life, etc.
Additionally, the 4P conceptualisation model taught in all universities are a good baseline but it is become more and more outdated as sometimes some patients may not have clinical conditions.
Some challenges I personally faced is to set a specific goal with the client using the 4Ps and it might not be the issue that they want to work on.
